This book is a guidebook that breaks down the vast spectrum that is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) into different segments to help parents understand where exactly their child is and what their child’s needs are. This book also sheds light on the benefits of art making and the unique properties that it has to help individuals with ASD.
Also, this book provides information on art therapy as a possible treatment and provides evidence and research on the benefits of the creative arts therapies. The author breaks down how she personal works with individuals with ASD and her process to give parents an understanding of the art therapy process so that they can decided if it is the right choice for their child.
